A Moment to Appreciate Abundance
In our local neighborhood, we have been blessed with an overflow of fruits. At this time of year, pomelos and lemons are ripe for the picking and our neighbors have generously offered their supply. We have been enjoying pomelos as a post-meal fruit and lemon juice to top off dishes.

Going Hyper Local
A Step in the Right Direction
This may seem so typical at the beginning of the year but I’m starting off prioritizing fitness. To be honest, this was never really a thing for me as I’ve grown up dedicated to staying active. It happened mid last year when I learned what true rest was and leaned a bit too hard into it. I stopped working out. It wasn’t until I suffered a mild health issue within the first few days of the new year that I knew I had to find balance in rest and restart my fitness journey.
A few weeks in, I’m at our neighborhood-wide yard sale and came across a medicine ball, resistance band, and jump rope. I’m committed to a low-buy year, but felt a few pieces of equipment would help keep me on track, as feeling a plateau in getting stronger was another factor of my time away from exercise. Were these purchases justified? I did help clear up some space for my neighbors..
