Workshops by One Step Forward is a community event with hands-on creativity, bringing together talented small business owners under one roof!

This gathering is more than just learning new skills. It’s a chance to catch up with an old friend, make new ones, and celebrate local makers as we create together.

Korean Traditional Knots (Maedup) Keychain

Workshop Details:

In this workshop, we'll explore Korean traditional knot (maedup) techniques to create your dragonfly keychains. Paracord is provided. The class is designed for all skill levels. By the end, you’ll take home your very own handmade keychain along with the skillset to keep practicing and creating!

Join Ahin (they/them) for a hands-on session where you’ll learn the basics of jewelry making while creating your own bag/key charm and bag chain. Choose from a curated selection of beads and charms to craft pieces that are uniquely yours. All materials provided—just bring your creativity!

Herbalism & Tea Blending

Workshop Details:

In this workshop, participants will explore the foundations of herbalism and hands-on tea making. Each attendee will create and take home their own custom herbal tea blend, thoughtfully bagged and ready to enjoy. In addition, they will receive a jar of PITIT’s Better Skin Butter—a plant-based body butter crafted with African shea butter, calendula, and evening primrose oil for ultra hydration and eczema care.

Yasmeen is the founder of PITIT, a plant-centered lifestyle brand inspired by her journey as a mother and herbalist. Motherhood sparked her commitment to a naturalist lifestyle, deepening her passion for herbal knowledge and holistic tools for modern wellbeing. Through PITIT, she shares this approach by formulating plant-based teas and products and sharing practices that honor balance and connection. In this workshop, Yasmeen will guide you through the art of tea making, offering both practical skills and a deeper relationship with plants as everyday allies.

One Hot Minute is a Peruvian and Chinese cuisine pop-up, based in Los Angeles. Sarina and Cesar started One Hot Minute to share both their Chinese and Peruvian cultures, respectively, through food. Everything they make is handmade with love.

Meet Chenault Café:

Chenault Café is a small collection of cold brew teas crafted in small batches with simple, clean ingredients. After years in fashion and film, founder Charles Chenault (He/They) is now focused on community and connection by creating a welcoming space where people can slow down, share, and enjoy something timeless together.
