Workshops by One Step Forward is a community event with hands-on creativity, bringing together talented small business owners under one roof!
This gathering is more than just learning new skills. It’s a chance to catch up with an old friend, make new ones, and celebrate local makers as we create together.

Workshop Details:
In this workshop, attendees will cut and sew their very own weighted eye pillow.
This includes:
- Tracing and cutting a pillow and pillowcase pattern on pattern paper
- Cutting fabric based on the pattern
- Filling the pillow with millet and lavender
- Hand sewing a pillow and pillowcase
Upcyling is highly recommended! If you have an article of clothing or household linens made from woven cotton or linen that you no longer use, please bring it so it can be transformed into an eye pillowcase. 100% natural materials are recommended. (In the photos, a rust linen dress was upcycled into an eye pillowcase.)
If you don't have an article to upcycle, don't worry! All materials will be provided with limited colors available.

Meet Your Instructor:
Sarina is the co-founder of One Hot Minute, a Peruvian Chinese food pop-up and catering service. Before diving into the world of cooking, she attended school for fashion design and worked in the fashion industry with an emphasis in pattern making. Today, she applies that experience and knowledge to create soft goods for One Hot Minute.

Through PITIT, she shares this approach by formulating plant-based teas and products and sharing practices that honor balance and connection.
